Dreaming Are We?

I got lost in a dream the other day,
and wondered what the big fuss about them was,
everyone wanted them,
no one had them,
and no one Could have them,
so why bother?
Perhaps they lost a loved one,
and only through their dreams could they visit them.
Or perhaps, they dream of mischievous things,
and ridding old maidens of their cats...
And then it hit me;
when one dreams it is because far better things can be achieved in lala land,
then anywhere else,
after all, when darkness turns to light,
we become aware...
aware of all the imperfections.
And then we await the coming of the moon,
and drift away to a better place...
